I can’t count the number of times I’ve said that in the past fifteen years.
So what is a Talent Booker?
It’s a career that has many names: Celebrity Booker. Talent Producer. Casting Director. And, of course, obviously, Talent Booker.
But no matter what you call it, the mission is always the same: to garner A-list celebrities and personalities for national television series and specials, syndicated radio and live events. It’s my job to land those “difficult to book guests,” to convince their agents, managers and publicists to become my partner so that they, in turn, will help convince their in-demand clients to participate in MY clients’ projects.
My talent bookings have appeared on countless broadcast and cable networks including NBC, PBS and OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) among many others. Over the years as a talent booker, I’ve developed an extensive database which includes contacts to thousands of the top-name stars. That list includes icons and luminaries of Film, Music, Television, Sports, Comedy, Supermodels, Best Selling Authors, etc.
I’m proud to say that I’ve built up a reputation as a Talent Booker for honesty and integrity that ensures that those people return my calls every single day. I’ve developed techniques and approaches that have enabled me to win their trust and book guests that other talent bookers have said would be impossible. I have great relationships with agents, managers, publicists, booking agents and celebrities.
So when I say “talent booking is my life,” you can believe it. I love what I do. It’s a passion for me. And I wouldn’t trade a minute of it.
